Double Eyelid Surgery

Many Asians have monolids, which are lids without a crease or fold. As monolid eyes may look smaller and more tired, while double eyelids are seen as more attractive because the extra fold above a monolidded eye can make the eye appear fuller, brighter and more awake.

Generally, we want to look fresher and more confident. Those of us who would like to enhance our eyes often turn to double eyelid surgery – or as it’s more clinically known as blepharoplasty surgery.

When it comes to double eyelid surgery, we can expect to encounter either the cutting or stitching method.

The stitching method creates a more natural look and require lesser downtime, therefore, the preferred choice by most of the patients. This method involves weaving one continuous suture through four small holes in the lid and connects the fold of the skin to the underlying deep tissue, establishing the desired double eyelid.

Another way to create a double eyelid is via cutting. This procedure is suitable for those who prefer to have a permanent double eyelids. Especially if you have heavy or puffy eyelids, this method allows to removes the excess fats (along with extraneous skin and muscle) through precise incisions to form that perfect double eyelid.

Korean Canthoplasty

Ever wondered what the secret to the big and pretty eyes of popular K-pop stars is? Look no further: canthoplasty is a highly popular procedure both in and outside of Korea, allowing people to achieve larger eye shape look that they yearn for.

There are two components to the surgery, and depending on your needs and wants, you may opt for one or both. Both procedures include cutting into the palpebral fissure, which is located in both the inner and outer corners of the eye.

With epicanthoplasty, the surgeon shapes the inner corner of the eye. This is also sometimes known as ‘magic epicanthoplasty.

Whereas, lateral epicanthoplasty targets the outer edge of the eye, allowing your eyes to be elongated.

Drooping Eyelid (Ptosis)

Some of us can never seem to escape comments that we look sleepy or upset, even when we’re feeling energetic and fresh! This can be due to ptosis, also known as a drooping eyelid. Ptosis can be present at birth (congenital ptosis) or develop due to aging, injury or an aftereffect of other corrective eye surgery. Depending on how severely the lid droops, people with ptosis may have difficulty seeing. Surgery is usually the best treatment for droopy eyelids as it tightens levator muscles to lift eyelids, giving you improved vision and appearance.

Eye Bag Removal

Sometimes, no matter how much sleep or rest we get, those dark and puffy bags under our eyes never quite seem to go away. While eye creams and concealers can help to an extent, for some of us, it’s a problem that seems almost impossible to solve.

One way to banish these bags for good is surgery which commonly known as eye bag removal. This involves making a small incision within the lower eyelid that allows the surgeon to remove or reposition the fat deposits so that those dark bags retreat to give you a more youthful appearance once again.
